The preoccupations in my work
are a response to both external and internal reality. I am attracted
to subjects that reflect the passing of time; water and stone, shadows and
reflections. The illusion of the
infinite in a microcosm - tracings left outside
of self and time.
The repeated motifs and blurred, indecipherable writings of old
manuscripts, a careful map of the whole surface of a small stone,
the tracery of cobweb sculpture and the scribble of pebbles in the
shadows of water are all sources of contemplation and inspiration.
A rich visual record of existence.
